During this event, the simple, elegant and festive request was created in several ways. The mandap was draped with an antiqued gold broque satin. The gold and teal color theme was continued with the trio of balloons in each upper corner. Mini teal round metallic beads hung in the front center. ~ (Fabric available as a rental for your function)
Continuing with the simple, elegant and festive decor, the foundation of the 12 tables were created with gold synthetic table coverings. A teal with gold metallic speckled fabric was hand cut and used as the overlay. 5 balloons - 2 gold, 2 teal and 1 blue - was used as the centerpiece. Sparkling blue glitter tulle nested with the balloon cluster as a subtle elegant touch. ~
This mandap was created using bright multi colored paper garlands wrapped around the upper horizontal and vertical perimeters. Several yards of solid and printed fabrics made a more interesting backdrop than the plain wall. Traditional mango leaves topped the pillars. ~
12 round table cloths were a focal point of decor for this celebration. I selected over 25 prints, patterns and colors to be mixed among the tables. Each cloth was hand made (with the help of my sewing machine) with 4 different patterns per cloth. Each cloth was original and not one table cloth was exactly duplicated. (Available as rental for your function) ~
Each table's centerpiece consisted of a glossy cardstock paper with Indian motifs/patterns and a single red carnation with palm leaf in a bud vase. I then sprinkled multi colored sequins around this display for added sparkle. ~
This mandap boasted red, a traditional wedding color. Sheer and tulle fabrics canopied overhead for the ceremony. Floral designs consisting of red roses and peacock feathers ancored the top front corners. What a beautiful couple as they dance in their Indian attire! ~
Gold satin cloths blanketed each table. A sheer ivory scroll fabric was used as the runner. Red cloth napkins were gathered into a "purse" design with a rhinestone napkin ring. The center of the table held a low, clear glass bowl and within floated a single white or pink lotus flower. Peacock feathers, mini red "jems" and faux rose petals were among the adornments that completed this beautiful setting. ~

Namaste! I have the honor of planning and decorating for many Indian Hindu functions. My style is unique and interpretive, as opposed to traditional. Working within budgets, I create beautiful settings for these very special celebrations. Instead of using plastic table coverings and a single flower centerpiece, upgrade the creativity and quality by utilizing my ideas, resources and rentals! Make your function both affordable and memorable!
The overall image of this mandap was to showcase colorful flowers, and lots of them. ~
The four gold pillars were dressed with long swags of fresh flowers. ~
I made each floral swag which was constructed with clusters of crysanthemums, carnations, alstroemeria, boronia heather, seeded eucalyptus and peacock feathers. ~
Towering the top of the two front pillars were floral arrangements that added height, fullness and color. ~
The fabric for the backdrop was an antique gold broque satin. The blue glitter sticks (I call them squiggles) were hung to compliment the bride's blue sari and to add interest and texture - especially for photos. Within the "squiggles" hung flower buds and greens. ~
This was a small, intimate wedding with an Indian groom and American bride. Instead of using separate round tables, adjoining rectangular tables were used. This way, the guests (American and Indian) would all sit TOGETHER, symbolizing the joining of families and ethnic backgrounds. ~
I imagined the tablesettings being colorful and exotic. Centered on the tables were colored glass vases and containers (rentable) with all the same flowers and peacock feathers used on the mandap. An Indian motif fabric was photocopied and used as a placemat to add color and pattern for a completed look. ~
The bride and groom had a modest budget to work within. Instead of ordering their garlands, I made them with fugi mums. ~
The night before the ceremony, the groom asked if there could be a sign of their names. So, I came up with this design which cost less than $20. ~

The entrance to the dining area after the performance displayed 2 dress forms. It was a great presentation of some of her previous dance attire and made an authentic decorative statement. (Dress forms available as a rental for your function) ~
The mission for this function was to transform a dull, colorless, sterile high school cafeteria into a dining area for 350 guests to enjoy. Cut branches and paper lanterns dangled from the ceiling, fresh bamboo stood within the table groupings, embossed metallic foils were used as table coverings and 70 centerpieces decorated the tables. ~
Each of the 70 centerpieces were unique and different. Colored glass vases were used, topped with a fresh hydrangea flower. A faux (silk) orchid stem added height, drama and contrasting color to complete the creation. (Orchids and colored vases available as a rental for your function. ~
This was a large area to transform! Above each table grouping (16 total), I hung large branches cut from my tree (it needed trimmed anyway!). Then, I hung and staggered 7 paper lanterns within each branch. The end result created a vision texture, nature, color and uniqueness. (Lanterns available as a rental for your function) ~
Throughout designing this function, I was able to use my creativity and resources to save my client money. A minimum of $1,200 was saved! And, the total cost of materials and time was less than that! ~
The orchids were exotic and interesting. Utilizing my rentals, they were definitely much less expensive than purchasing them at a local craft store. You couldn't even tell they were artificial orchids! ~
One of my newest and greatest finds is the embossed metallic foil table coverings. At about $1 per table, they were very economical. Much better than plastic table cloths with creases that you can't get out! And, the lighting illuminated the bold colors and patterns amazingly! ~
During intermission, the snack area was set up in the commons. The snack containers were tiered, a large vase with faux flowers added decor and the table covering added a punch of bold color. ~
This is another snack table - with tiered containers, large faux flower arrangement and embossed metallic foil table covering. It was a simple design, with a lot of visual impact. ~
How do you make a bottled water table decorative and still functional? Like this! An iron stand with fresh tree branches intertwined with faux poppies stood within the perfectly aligned bottles of water. (Floral display available as a rental for your function) ~

This is a wedding I set up and decorated for, as the materials were already purchased by my client. The table for 2 was set for the bride and groom with the mandap as a backdrop. White lights and tulle fabric covered the bottom of the mandap for an illuminated effect. ~
The centerpieces purchased by my client were ethnic and elegant. A flameless candle glowed within each. A gold embossed place board and blue gems completed the centerpiece. ~
Instead of seeing a plain, ugly wall behind the food table, blue fabric was hung as a backdrop. White lights twinkled from underneath while fresh lotus flowers dangled amongst. A trio of blue paper lanterns adorned with beading hung directly over the the table as a decorative focal point. Glitter "squiggles" and coral colored silk lotus flowers added to this simple but embellishing display. (Lanterns with beading available as a rental for your function) ~
The entrance to the multi purpose room was decorated with gold and blue tulle fabric, mango leaf garland and silk flowers. ~
With a few key items, the beverage table can look delightful! It doesn't take much! Coordinated cups and napkins were a part of making this table look great just by stacking and staggering. The metallic embossed foils protected the fabric tablecloth and added texture, color and interest. ~

The ceremonial swing was used as a gift area for this wedding. Draped in fabric, this area became a beautiful and functional display. Embellished pillows, card cage and prewrapped color coordinated gifts were added to create this unique presentation. ~
A last minute creation needed by my client was a garland for the baby's ceremony. Using mini carnations, I constructed the garland, alternating colors of red, pink, orange and yellow. ~
